I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

In 2020, after a difficult journey, we lost Mum. Two years earlier, she had been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, Multiple Myeloma. Anyone who has walked in the path of cancer alongside a loved one knows the heartache it brings. You cling to hope with each new treatment round, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You live with hope they will reach remission. They do. All to have a relapse. The cycle continues. As a carer and support network for someone battling cancer, the emotional toll it takes is extremely heavy.

The one constant I had through Mums journey was the unwavering support from the Leukaemia Foundation. Every day, 53 Aussies will be told they have blood cancer, just like my Mum was. The Leukaemia Foundation requires vital funds to help provide special care to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well and fund game changing research into the disease. The money I raise with the help of my community, will provide care for those in need right now. It will also back the brightest researchers uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
