We've taken a stand against blood cancer for 25 years!
Today, more than 53 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow - another 53 families will be devastated by the same news.
The Albany Creek Leukaemia Foundation Branch was formed in 2001 - 25 years ago - by a group of passionate locals, many with personal stories of blood cancer. With the assistance of the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland, our Branch stood forth together to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease.
The money we raised (about a quarter of a million dollars over the years) and continue to raise, has helped provide care for those in need right now, both locally and nationally — and it backs the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
Please show us your support and donate to our commemorative 25th anniversary fundraising page.
