WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Everyone.......we've done it!! 🤣❤👍 Got the Special Num of 66 Laps (25m) in an Hour at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre Pool with a BIG splash on Monday 30th August. A BIG HEART FELT THANKS for everyone's love, laughs & support with my mission to raise funds for others like myself who have or are in remission from a form of blood cancer or lymphoma. Again thanks to my amazing family and friends for their love and support ❤ over the last year and the "Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer" staff.
Your donations will raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease.
The money I raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
I'll be leaving this fundraising campaign open til late November if anyone still wants to jump on board. A special thanks here to "Life Care" Aldinga Court staff (especially Sarah & Linda) .....my mum's Residential Care home who held a good old fashioned 'cake stall & raffle" in recent weeks & raised a whopping $500 which was matched by Sarah's husband's business. 😊❤ Thank you soooo much!
Also to the many lovely people on the other end of the phone who lovingly jumped on board for me: Shelly & Felicity from the Leukaemia Foundation, Marion Council, Emma from SA Aquatic Centre, Leanne from Masters Swimming SA, Dr. Jessie & Ben Armenores at Seacliff Family Dental, Daniel from "Grasshopper's" my grandson's soccer club, Jetty Rd, Brighton businesses who displayed my poster. Special thanks to the precious owner of "Get in 2 the Moose" gift shop who without even asking donated some gorgeous products for the raffle. Also Luke from Wirra Wirra Winery who donated a few yummo bottles, and the friendly team at "Home Grain Bakery" Aldinga (my fam's 2nd home) who donated a generous voucher, Tim Rugless owner of Brighton Foodland, and lovely local MP David Speirs & Rachel at his office who took the time to meet & warmly jumped on board with amazing support too.
Changing outcomes in the world and improving the path for others that follow starts with you and me.
