I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.
Today, more than 50 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow - another 50 families will be devastated by the same news.
In early March of 2022, Stefan Mason at 27 years old, a colleague and 3rd Generation family member of Bruno Fine Foods was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a cancer in the blood.
Stefan has embarked on one of the hardest journeys of his life, being forced to step away from the place that he loves and enjoys so dearly (Brunos) to undergo daily treatment. This decision has been paramount to his progress with this disease, deciding to face this challenge head on with dedication and discipline has allowed Stefan to progress and fight.
With the support of his family, friends and a strong attitude, nearly 5 months on, Stefan now has the comfort in knowing that he is in remission! With just one BIG hurdle left, a bone marrow transplant, a challenging step in the right direction.
To help provide care for those suffering and to help reduce these numbers, Bruno Fine Foods have decided to raise funds for The Leukaemia Foundation. Money raised will enable researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnosis and better treatments to save lives. Alternatively, if you wish to donate blood, that too can help save lives.
