Fundraiser for Kevin

I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

This event honors the outstanding contribution Kevin Watkins made to the College and the natural health profession. From the early days of SAHEC in 1990 to ENCH from 2008 – Kevin’s vision and passion supported the growth of the college immensely. Kevin’s other passion was surf lifesaving, so most early mornings you’d find him down at Brighton beach training out in the waves.

Kevin’s personal battle with Leukemia began around 6 years ago. He fought gallantly and his heart kept him committed to the College throughout this period up until his retirement in October 2022.  Sadly, Kevin passed away in February 2023 and is survived by his wife Sofi and his kids Ella and Oscar.

Today, more than 53 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow - another 53 families will be devastated by the same news.

I have created this page to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease. 

The money we raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
