I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.
Cancer affects most people at some point in their life, and usually in the most f*cked up kind of ways.
In 2005, my 8 year old brother William died of Leukemia after a year long battle that was devastating for both him and everyone that knew him. I was young at the time, but the things that helped us day-to-day was the support from foundations, even when that support was just distractions or a smile.
I've been bikepacking around the UK for the last few months, and would love to dedicate my next ride, a 270km coast to coast I'm planning to do over 10 days to a cause, and I can't think of a better one than this. I've chosen the 28th of April as the finish date as that would've been his 25th birthday.
I'm also picking the Leukemia foundation because one of my good friends has been having a shit fight with it the last couple of years, and I'd love to show some support to him.
