I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.
15 years later and I finally decided to share my story. In 2009 I was diagnosed with leukaemia (blood cancer), which has completely impacted my life forever. I was lucky, after many sessions of chemotherapy I made it through to the other side.
Leukaemia is the most common type of childhood cancer, it takes the lives of children every single year and in my case it took years of my childhood away from me.
From the 1st of November, I will raising money for the leukaemia foundation. This money would help people receive services and support that would help people with blood cancer survive and have a better quality of life. I will be partaking in a run (5-10km) every single day, for 30 days.
It is a blessing to have the opportunity to live a healthy and long life which I have learnt to be so grateful for. Be kind to one another as you never know what people have gone through in their lives.
