A comedy show to fight against blood cancer
On the 27th of February, 2022, my dad was suddenly diagnosed with ALL Leukaemia and it has changed our world. I knew nothing about blood cancers before the diagnosis and through organisations like the Leukaemia foundation, I've found many useful and comforting resources. Not being a doctor or medical professional myself, I thought the next best immediate thing I could do is to raise funds for the amazing teams who provide support to patients and their families throughout the darkest of times.
I've decided to donate all proceeds from the opening weekend of my upcoming show for the Melbourne Intenational Comedy Festival, to the Leukaemia Foundation. Please come and share a laugh whilst helping to save lives!
I have created this page to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease.
The money I raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
Please show me your support by donating to my fundraising campaign, or by buying tickets to the April 1st, 2nd and 3rd shows for 'Urvi Went to an All Girls' School' as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival!
