Charity Run Fundraiser for Louis FourieI’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.
On 24 October 2019, my friend, fellow believer, and fellow runner Louis Fourie was diagnosed with leukaemia. A short time prior to this, I had discussed with him the possibility of doing a run circumnavigating Tuggerrah Lake (46km).
So on 24 October 2020, I will do the run we had discussed to honour his fight against cancer, and to raise funds in support of all those battling leukaemia.
I am fundraising to help the 41 Australians who will know that they have blood cancer by the end of today — and for the 41 families who will face the same devastating news tomorrow.
I have created this page to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease.
The money I raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.

By supporting me, you will help provide services that will ease the emotional and financial burden that Aussie families feel as they face the daily challenges of blood cancer.
These services include providing free accommodation close to life-saving treatment, transport to and from hospital for someone too sick to drive, and one-on-one emotional support from experts.
