I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.
Rhys Slater attended Hillbrook Early Learning Centre and tragically passed away from leukaemia in 1994. Each October, we remember Rhys on Yellow Day—a special day dedicated to celebrating his life and raising awareness. On Yellow Day, we wear yellow, create bright and cheerful yellow art, and come together as a community to support the Leukaemia Foundation through donations. It’s a meaningful tradition that honours Rhys’s memory with hope, creativity, and compassion.
