I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

My name is Nado, I will be challenging myself to dig deep and run up and down 22,800 stairs in 3 hours to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. The stairs I will be running are located in Sandringham, 3191. Join the Facebook event Page for updates here:  Facebook event  

Where: This event will take place at the Royal Avenue beach stairs (see map below).  


I am running for the Leukaemia Foundation, which is a cause that means a lot to me, having experienced a family member recover from Leukaemia. I aim to raise $3,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. The Leukaemia Foundation stops blood cancer wrecking lives. It provides specialist support, funds cutting-edge research and campaigns to make change for people with any type of blood cancer, not leukaemia alone. I encourage you to come down to the Sandringham stairs to watch me attempt this challenge. You can even join in and challenge yourself, in your own way. Running up and down stairs is dangerous, so I strongly recommend walking. Collection tins will be available for donations to be made on the day.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Running can be a dangerous activity, if you wish to attend on the 30th of April, please walk. Please exercise responsibly. Never walk beyond your capabilities, know your limits and be safe.

I pledge to donate $50 for every 30 sets of stairs (all the way down and up) that YOU can walk on the day. So bring your runners and bring your A game. If anyone can walk the 100 stair sets  with me in under 3.5 hours, I will donate an extra $400 to this great cause. Let's bring about positive change!
