Standing together - For Marlow
On November 15th, 2025, we – Jed and James – will take on a 100km run from Goolwa SA to Semaphore SA, each wearing a 9kg weight vest. We’re doing it for Marlow – a beautiful, brave 3-year-old who’s just been diagnosed with Leukaemia. When our close friends received the news, we felt helpless. However, we knew we had to do something.
This run is our way of standing beside Marlow and his family, and raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, who will be a lifeline in their journey ahead.
The 9kg weight vest we’ll wear is symbolic. It represents the crushing weight this diagnosis brings – the fear, the uncertainty, the pain. But it also reminds us of the strength and resilience families like Marlow’s are forced to find.
This is bigger than the two of us. It’s bigger than just a run. It’s about hope, solidarity, and doing what we can to raise awareness and ease the burden that no child or family should ever have to carry alone.
We’ve set out to raise $25,000, and we're determined to make every step count – for Marlow, and for every family fighting blood cancer, we would love your help!
