Running to conquer blood cancer.
On a journey to win the RunDisney Marathon in 2026, I am driven by my commitment to the fight against blood cancer. I chose this goal because Disney’s core values of hope, courage, and perseverance resonate deeply with me. These values and the pursuit of dreams align perfectly with the Leukaemia Foundation’s mission. Just as Disney inspires us to dream big and face challenges with bravery, the Leukaemia Foundation embodies the spirit of hope and resilience in the fight against blood cancer. By combining my marathon journey with this cause, I aim to reflect these shared values and contribute to a meaningful fight for a cure.
Although I don’t have a personal connection to leukaemia, my high school house charity was the Leukaemia Foundation. This experience exposed me to the profound impact of the disease through the stories shared by teachers and students about their loved ones. It was then that I understood the immense challenges faced by those affected by blood cancer, and the year after I graduated, I decided to dedicate my efforts to raising awareness and funds to combat this devastating disease.
