Help Us Fight Blood Cancer – In Honour of Romo
Every day, 53 Australians are told they have blood cancer. The next day, another 53 families face that same devastating news.
For me, this fight is personal. My son Romo is currently undergoing treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), and I lost my father to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Watching two generations of my family impacted by blood cancer has been heartbreaking — but it’s also inspired me to take action.
I’ve created this fundraising page to support the Leukaemia Foundation — a lifeline for families like mine. They provide critical care and support for people facing blood cancer, and they fund world-class research to help find faster diagnoses and better treatments.
To help raise vital funds, I’m committing to something big: training to run a half marathon on July 13 — just 9 weeks from now — starting from a running base of zero. This journey will be tough, but nothing compared to the strength it takes to fight blood cancer.
