I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.

That's why I'm hosting my very own Leukaemia Foundation fundraiser. Whether you can make it or not, your donation could make a real difference in the lives of Australians facing blood cancer – from funding life-changing research to providing accommodation near hospital for families doing it tough.

Any amount – big or small – will help fuel real, tangible change. Together, let's seize this moment and do some bloody good in the world.

DARREN SANDERS in BLOOD WORK
(A work in progress)
What happens when a comedian gets diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening blood cancer? For Darren Sanders, it becomes a story he never expected to tell, but one he’s determined to find the funny in.
After more than 30 years making audiences laugh, Darren swapped the stage for a hospital bed, comedy clubs for chemotherapy, and punchlines for blood tests, treatment, and a healthy dose of uncertainty.
In BLOOD WORK, Darren takes audiences on a candid, darkly funny, and honest journey through his APML diagnosis and treatment, with the absurdities of life along the way. Combining brand-new material inspired by his extraordinary experience with tried-and-tested comedy favourites, this is a work in progress where real life meets the comedy stage.
There’ll be stories of the people who helped him through it and the unexpected moments of humour that can emerge in the darkest of times.
Sometimes laughter can be the best medicine.
