Leukaemia Foundation Charity Golf Day
In 2016 our son Kristopher was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. After several months of treatment in Canberra the doctors decided Kristopher needed to go to Sydney to have a bone marrow transplant. Kristopher was in Westmead hospital for 3 months. During this time the Leukaemia Foundation provided our family with accommodation near the hospital and support with his medical bills.
In September last year our family was struck again with devastating news when my Dad was diagnosed with CNL, an extremely rare form of Leukaemia. Sadly, my Dad passed away from complications on 2nd June this year.
This year we will be holding another Golf Day at the Burns Golf Course in Holt. After the golf we will host a raffle and auction in the Burns Golf club. This year’s Golf Day will be held in honour of my Dad, John Pearce. Hopefully we can raise much needed funds to help find a cure for this insidious disease.
