CONSTRUCTION CONNECTIONS COMMUNITY COMMITMENTS
Our industry is a close-knit community. A child in one of our families are dealing with a diagnosis that means challenging times are ahead for them. This gives the rest of us the opportunity to support this family and others in a similar position as best we can by working towards a cancer free society. It has also given us a new focus for our fundraising activities this year and we have decided to support the Leukaemia Foundation.
WHAT IS THE LEUKAEMIA FOUNDATION?
In addition to supporting research for a cure for blood cancers, the foundation provides clear, reliable information for people living with blood cancer and their family members, friends, and health professionals. It supports people engaged in the cancer journey from diagnosis to treatment and beyond, including such things as practical support; health and wellbeing support; assessment and referral.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
Logan Water and delivery partners will be undertaking various fundraising activities to raise as much as possible to support this cause.
This will include among others:
- Setting fundraising targets
- Raffling such things as new
tools and equipment used in construction work
- Auction of donated items
- Conducting fund raising
bar-be-cues and morning teas
- Taking part in the “Shave for a
Cure” May fund-raiser as a participant or donor
- Several members of our senior
management team have put out the challenge and look likely to lose their
locks
- Assisting with the promotion of
the fundraising activities
HOW CAN YOU SHOW SUPPORT?
As a delivery partner or supplier to Logan Water or locally operating business you can make a construction community commitment to donate cash or new items that can be auctioned or raffled.
Your contributions will be recognised as a sponsor to the
fund-raising activities in the various categories by displaying your
company/individual names and logos on our sponsorship board and other promotional
material.

HOW DOES TECHNOLOGY COME INTO THIS?
Cash donations will be recognised as coming from our
campaign using a QR code which will be displayed on our marketing material and
used to make commitments.
