Climbing For Cancer

I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

Hi, my name is James Repine, and in April 2026, I’ll be taking on the biggest challenge of my life, climbing Lobuche East Peak (6,119m) in Nepal. If I reach the top, I’ll be one of the youngest Australians to summit a mountain of this size.

I’ve called this journey Climbing for Cancer because I’m not doing it just for me. In December 2024, my mum was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare blood cancer. Seeing her fight this has been really tough, and it made me want to do something to help. That’s why I’m dedicating my climb to raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

The climb will be incredibly hard, with thin air, freezing temperatures, and long days on the mountain, but every step will be for my mum and for all Australians battling blood cancers.

Every dollar donated through this page goes directly to the Leukaemia Foundation. None of it funds my trip or expenses; it all supports research, better treatments, and vital care for families who need it most.

I’d be so grateful if you could support my Climbing for Cancer challenge by making a donation. Together, we can turn this climb into real hope for families like mine.

Thank you,
James
