Chandler Challenge

I lost my good friend Christopher Chandler to Leukaemia when he was just 12 years old on the 05/06/2017 just under two weeks before his 13th birthday on 18/06/2004 it was devastating as Chris knew he was dying and his only wish was to make it to his 13th birthday, he was taken to early and that’s not fair. Today I’m starting up this fundraiser on 18/06/2021 my friends 17th birthday and ill be leaving it open for exactly 12 months, next year on the 18/06/2022 on Christopher’s 18th birthday I will be shaving my head to donate to the cause and all the money you all have kindly donated with go towards to the Leukaemia Foundation, I didn’t know how to help my friend but maybe now you can all help me do something for those suffering from leukaemia. In 2018 I cut 45cm of my hair and donated to make my first wig it was an amazing experience and made me feel just that little bit closer to the cause, the reason for me wanting to make a difference the first time was because Chris asked me to grow my hair long and donate it to him he always loved my long hair and missed his unfortunately I never got the chance to give my hair to Chris but still kept my promise and donated it to a little girl suffering the same harsh disease. Next year I will go that one step further and completely shave my head and donate my second wig, remember my hair will always grow back but Chris’s will never.

I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

Today, more than 50 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow - another 50 families will be devastated by the same news.

I have created this page to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease. 

The money I raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
