I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.
Today, more than 53 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow - another 53 families will be devastated by the same news.
Over the next month, my friend Jack and I are running a combined 100km with the hopes to raise at least $500 to provide the special care needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis, as well as fund more game-changing research into this disease.
My sister, Tahlia, was diagnosed with Leukaemia at just 4 years old. The Leukaemia Foundation offered our family emotional support and accommodation close to the life-saving treatment she needed to beat cancer. I am eternally grateful that I got the opportunity to grow up with my best friend, and I want all families affected by this disease to have a better chance at experiencing life with their loved ones.
With your help, the money we raise will provide necessary financial aid and care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
