The KYPU Fundraiser Returns!
In December 2020, on the lead up to my bone marrow transplant, Brendan Phelan and my wife started the 152 for KYPU and what happened over the coming weeks was not only incredible, but it gave me the motivation to get through the hardest period of my life.
Last year, due to the severity of my graft versus host disease, we didn’t get to do a fundraiser. Thankfully my health is in a great place so it’s time to bring it back and raise some money for a foundation very close to my heart.
For the month of November I have set myself a target of running 50km. Bare in mind I only started back running a week ago and can just about make it 2km!
Some friends and family have agreed to join in and run 15.2km on the weekend of the 25th and 26th of November. Please get involved, share the fundraiser and help spread awareness around leukaemia.
I feel incredibly lucky to not only be here today but to be able to go outside and move. Follow along, join in and let’s raise some much needed funds for people living with blood cancer and their families.
