I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.
Conquering Mund-Everest
Today, more than 53 Australians will be told they have blood cancer, and tomorrow, another 53 families will be faced with the same heartbreaking news. It's a staggering number, and one that demands action.
That’s why I’ve created this page: to raise vital funds that will help provide the specialised care families need during the most difficult time of their lives, and to support life-changing research that brings us closer to faster diagnoses, better treatments, and ultimately, cures.
I’m an ultra-runner who feels most alive on the trails, and I’ve set myself a personal
challenge to push my limits for a cause close to my heart.
As part of this campaign, I will take on the mighty Mundy Regional Park parkrun in Kalamunda, WA — known as Australia’s toughest parkrun — and run it 42 times, covering 210km and climbing 8,848 metres of elevation — the height of Mount Everest.
The first lap will start with the parkrun commencing on the 27th of September at 8:00am
This challenge is in honour of Jeff Hansen, the incredible man who created this epic route. Jeff was a pillar of the trail running and parkrun community, and his passion lives on in every step we take on that course. Tragically, Jeff passed away from leukaemia, and I’m dedicating this challenge to his memory — and to all those affected by blood cancer.
