Outback to the Future

I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

Please show me your support by donating to my fundraising campaign.

As a diagnosed patient with Leukaemia who has recently  undergone chemotheropy, I would like to help fund research so that future blood cancer patients may have new effective treatment and ultimately a cure.

“Outback to the Future”, strange name, I know, but I’m going Outback on a motorcycle from the past to hopefully improve the future for some people.

My name is Wayne Jensen and I live in Queensland, Australia.  For many years I’ve been a passionate enthusiast of Veteran and Vintage Motorcycles.   Since reading of the expeditions of earlier motorcyclist in this harsh environment, I’ve wanted to take an old bike, like theirs, on an epic solo journey for myself. The objective of this trip is to ride a 1922 Indian Powerplus motorcycle (that’s only 99 years old) around western Queensland, with a total distance of around 5,000kms.  While this is primarily a personal adventure, I hope to help raise some money for the Leukaemia Foundation, by seeking sponsorship for the kilometres I ride or simply asking for small donations.

I will have a page on Facebook where maps and itineraries will be posted for you to follow my progress (or lack of it).  My average speed will be around 60km per hour, so it will be by no means a quick lap.   I will let you know the distance I’ve travelled as often as I can, so you can keep a track of my progress.
