💜 Running for Gene – Supporting the Leukaemia Foundation

On Sunday, 20 July, my daughter Mylee and I will be running the 5km Jetty 2 Jetty in memory of my dad, Gene—a man whose strength, love, and courage continue to inspire us every day.

Gene was diagnosed with leukaemia over a decade ago. Thanks to the incredible advancements in medical research and the unwavering support from the Leukaemia Foundation, we were gifted precious extra years with him—years filled with laughter, memories, and love. Sadly, on 12 February 2024, Gene passed away after a long and brave battle. This run falls on what would have been his birthday, and we’re dedicating it to him.

We’re fundraising to help the Leukaemia Foundation continue their vital work—providing support and guidance to families facing blood cancer, and funding life-changing research that gives patients more time, and one day, we hope, a cure.

Our goal is to raise $800, and every single dollar makes a difference. Whether it’s helping a family navigate a new diagnosis or contributing to the next breakthrough in treatment, your support means the world.

Please donate if you can, share this page, and help us honour Gene’s legacy by giving hope to others.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💜
