Ride for leukaemia Day 1

Day 1.  Took off from work on a hot day with a very little sleep on the ferry.  It was owing to all the excitement and snoring !!
Had a rushed take off from the ferry.!!! FYI. We bikers take longer time to dress up than a newly wed.  We left the ferry with full on rain. Didn’t go far as our stomachs were glumblalrwady.
We had a very good breakfast at House of Anvers.  We Should have waited for another 20 mins before leaving. We got lots of rain riding towards beauty point which could have been avoided.
Well!!!
The lunch we brilliant at Levee food co after a visit to National Automobile Museum of Tasmania. Maybe it was the sip of single malt that helped. 🙂
One thing I don’t recommend is riding on feeeway after lunch.  The ride from Launceston to Campbell town was very boring but as soon as we hit twisty roads, everyone was alert and awake.
We were all glad to leave the rain behind.

We taken a stand against blood cancer.

We are 8 Blokes on 8 Motorbikes on 8 day ride in Tasmania.

Karun, Ray, Ahmet, Murat, Aseem, Rauf, Ben and Bobby.

We all are from different walks of life connected with a common cause. We plan to cover a distance of roughly 2000 kms during our 8 days on our motorbikes.

We as a group, have created this page to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease. The latest research shows that access to right information and supportive care can lead to a better quality of life and higher chance of survival. Leukaemia Foundation does an a fantastic job in connecting families and providing best supportive care for the patients.

The money we raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.
