My reason why

On 30 April 2007, after a battle with cancer, I lost my beloved Pa to leukaemia.

As a young girl, Pa was my hero. We would spend time together at the Nanna Park (until I threw up on the merry-go-round), he would write poems, would eat after eight chocolate (sometimes after eight), and much more.

No matter what was happening, Pa always saw the positive in everything. He was the rock of the family and was idolised by many. Nanna and Pa were the definition of soul mates.

On 30 April 2007, my life changed. Being told that Pa had become an angel and had lost his fight to cancer is a day I will never forget. The world has not been the same since he left.

Today, more than 53 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow - another 53 families will be devastated by the same news.

I have created this page to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease.

The money I raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.

Please show me your support by donating to my fundraising campaign.
