I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

I am writing to you on behalf of my dear friend, Ganesh Pathak, a 40-year-old husband and father who is currently fighting an aggressive battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a severe and rapid form of blood cancer.

Ganesh, originally a resident of Phalewas, Parvat, Nepal, has had to uproot his life and travel to Delhi, India, to receive critical, specialized cancer treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCIRC) under Central Registration (CR) Number 395245.

Advanced Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) genetic testing has revealed that his leukemia is high-risk, carrying pathogenic genetic variants (PTPN11 and STAG2 mutations). This means standard chemotherapy alone cannot cure him. To survive, Ganesh urgently requires prolonged intensive medical care, a heavy course of chemotherapy, followed immediately by a life-saving Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplant.

The Financial Crisis

The cost of advanced cancer treatments in a specialized medical facility is an astronomical burden that his family simply cannot bear. Due to their weak financial condition, arranging the massive funds required to complete his treatment has become a major crisis.

The hospital administration has issued an official medical estimate certifying that completing his treatment will cost INR 3,00,0000 (30 Lakhs / 3 Million Indian Rupees, which is approximately AUD $44,000 / USD $31,300). The direct breakdown of these vital hospital charges includes:

  • Bone Marrow Transplant: INR 1,500,000
  • Chemotherapy and Advanced Diagnostic Investigations: INR 500,000
  • Post-Transplant Critical Care and Management: INR 1,000,000
