Ironman 70.3 to raise money for Leukaemia
Earlier this year my Nanna was diagnosed with Leukaemia, a blood cancer.
Whilst she is okay for the most part, receiving treatment, she is often tired and exhausted from just doing things around the house.
Having immigrated to Australia as a teenager, and working multiple jobs to raise a family, she is the most determined, selfless and positive person I know and has shaped who I am today. Nanna constantly reminds me that we can achieve anything we work for.
In November this year, I will be completing an Ironman 70.3
1.9km ocean swim, 90km bike ride and 21km run.
70.3 Miles. All in 6 hours.
The next few months of training will be difficult but not as difficult as the challenges with Leukaemia my Nanna will have.
Whilst training for this Ironman, have decided to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation, who provide care to patients diagnosed with blood cancers and their families, as well as to help fund more life-changing research into this disease.
I understand times are tough for many so please don't feel pressured to donate. This donation to the Leukaemia Foundation is fully tax-deductible too.
Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
