Help support a good cause

For anybody still interested, Thursday Morning at 1030 I'll be heading the Blood Bank in the city to donate blood in honour of mum, who passed away 2 years ago on Thursday. If you would like to pay tribute to her, or help in any way there are a few things you can do.
1) Donate Blood if you can. https://www.lifeblood.com.au/donor-centre
2) Donate to the Australia Leukaemia Foundation Fund-raiser in her honour. https://fundraise.leukaemia.org.au/fundraiser/donate26071
3) Come support me while I donate to stop me from crying and screaming too loudly.
4) Hang out with me for the day in the city, we can grab a coffee or lunch :D

2 Years

Hi all,
So the 2 year anniversary of my mother's death is coming up. Last year I donated blood at Red Cross. This year I will be doing the same. I'm inviting everybody to follow my lead and donate this vitally important resource. Visit your local Blood Bank and donate blood and help save a life or two. It's really simple and you get free food afterwards. Thank you.

1 Year today

One year has passed since my beautiful mother passed away from Leukemia. I spent the day by having lunch with friends, as a friend of mine passed away the day before mum did, so it was a double event. After lunch I decided to make a blood donation at the Aussie Red Cross. For dinner tonight I made Tacos, as mum and I used to eat Tacos on special occasions.

Mum's Mobile Phone

I bought my mother a smart phone in July 2019. Here is a collection of some of her photos during the final 14 months of her life as she struggled through Myelodysplastic Syndrome and eventually Acute Leukaemia. She underwent many hospital visits, many blood tests and health scares during that time. Her cats were with her when I was not able to be there for her, they kept her spirits up. Mum lost her fight on 8th September 2020 at 21:35hrs, peacefully at Bethesda Hospital in Claremont. #donate26071

Authority to fundraise approved!

Got a call from the Leukaemia Foundation to inform me that I'm authorized fundraiser community supporter :D

I’ve taken a stand against blood cancer.

26071 is an odd number, but it represents the number of days my mother was alive on this earth. She passed away on 8th September 2020 to Acute Leukaemia. I would like to raise $26071 by the 1st year anniversary of her death to help others in similar situations.

Please share #Donate26071 to everybody you can think of on social media.

Today, more than 50 Australians will be told that they have blood cancer and tomorrow - another 50 families will be devastated by the same news.

I have created this page to raise vital funds to help provide the special care that is needed to get families through a blood cancer diagnosis as well as to help fund more game-changing research into this disease.

The money I raise will help provide care for those in need right now — and it will back the brightest researchers to continue uncovering faster diagnoses and better treatments to save lives.

Please show me your support by donating to my fundraising campaign.
